Founding Director, USU Center for Anticipatory Intelligence

Dr. Jeannie L. Johnson is a Professor of Political Science at Utah State University and the founding director of the Center for Anticipatory Intelligence (CAI), where she integrates national security expertise with cutting-edge technology education, including cyber threats and data analytics. Her research focuses on strategic culture’s influence on U.S. national and military policies, and her work includes The Marines, Counterinsurgency, and Strategic Culture, featuring a foreword by former Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis. Before academia, she served in the CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence and the U.S. State Department, developing the Cultural Topography analytic method featured in Studies in Intelligence. Dr. Johnson earned her doctorate in strategic studies from the University of Reading.
